We hope each of you had a restful weekend. We had an amazing first week of school and are looking forward to a full week with everyone!I will send these announcements via Connect 5 text message & email, Canvas inbox, and ParentSquare each weekend during the course of the school year. These announcements include several important items, but they are not all inclusive. * Parent Pick Up - Do NOT park at Birch Pointe OR any of our local businesses for afternoon pickup. You are taking their customer and patients parking spots. You may be fined or towed. Thank you!
* Morning Drop off and Afternoon Pick up - Please do NOT use the Jefferson Avenue entrance as this is where our busses unload each morning between 7:30 and 8:05 and the busses pick up between 3 and 3:20 each day.
Drop off and pick up should take place on the north and east side of the building. Please see the picture below for the best routes to take.

The Red dashes are for our BUSSES. Please also note we do have 3-4 busses that drop off and pick up on the east side nearest Primrose. Thank you for leaving them space to pick up and drop off.

1. Go to the website: Navigate to parentsquare.com on your computer, tablet or smartphone.
2. Click Sign In: Look at the upper right corner of the page and click the Sign In button.
3. Register your account: Locate the box labeled Register and type in the email address or phone number you gave to your child's school. Make sure to use the exact email or phone number registered with your child's school so your account connects to your child automatically.
4. Complete activation: Once submitted, follow any remaining on-screen prompts to set your password and finish activating your account.

* Wednesday Late Start - Classes begin at 8:40 a.m. EVERY Wednesday as our teachers engage in professional learning those mornings. Wednesday bell schedule is at the link above.

* SPS High School Attendance Requirement for Dances. In order to attend a SPS dance students must meet the following requirements:
90% overall attendance (school-sponsored activities do not count as absences) by a determined date prior to the dance set by the high school site administration.

* FREE Tutoring - Will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 8th and is held in our library each day we are in session. Tutoring is from 3:25 - 4:25 p.m. and is open to all Kickapoo students.
* ParentSquare Update - We will use ParentSquare as one of our methods of communication this year about information related to your child's classes and school events and activities. * Open House/SPS U - Kickapoo will be hosting our Open House/SPS U event on Thursday, Sept. 10th from 5:30 - 7 p.m.
We do have three meetings scheduled for the evening. The remainder of the night is a come and go event for you to visit classrooms, tour our building, and check out the club fair.

6 p.m. - Kickapoo U meeting for families of students in Kickapoo U.
6:30 p.m. - Senior meeting for families with students in the Class of 2027.

- Any students needing WiFi can request a Kajeet hotspot through our library.
- Kickapoo will open our doors at 7:40 a.m. and first block begins at 8:10 a.m. every day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday.
- Wednesday is late start for students so staff may participate in professional learning. Classes begin at 8:40 a.m. ALL BUSSES WILL RUN AT NORMAL TIMES.
- Classes end at 3:10 p.m. every day.
- All students should leave school/campus by 3:45 p.m. unless directly supervised by a teacher, coach, or sponsor.
- Students should take home Chromebooks every day and charge them each night.
- Deliveries to school - Parents/guardians may deliver food and other items to school. We ask that you label and leave them on the table. Please communicate with your student to let them know items have been dropped off for them as we do not contact them.
- NO FOOD or DRINK DELIVERIES FROM OUTSIDE VENDORS. Thank you!
- Dress code - Follow all dress code expectations. Cover ALL B's!
