Kickapoo Families,
Cool and wet weather replaced the summer like conditions of last week and I’m wondering
where did Fall go? You just have to love the weather in the Ozarks. As they say
‘If you don’t like it just wait a few hours because it will change.’
Thank you for a great 1st quarter at KHS. We have much to be thankful for and we are
looking forward to the next quarter to begin on Tuesday.
eSchool Home Access. Teachers will be finalizing these grades over the next few days
and online report cards will be available by the end of the week.
Need your password? Contact the main office at 523-8500 for details.
We do NOT have school for students on Monday, Oct. 15 as teachers will be engaged
in professional learning.
As a reminder the information I share here is NOT all inclusive to what is happening
at Kickapoo High School. You will find much, much more on our new website and you can
announcements as they are updated each day and can be found in the left column.
I would recommend checking this daily to stay informed of the KHS happenings.
I would also encourage you to connect with us via social media as we share what’s going
on at KHS. Check us out on

Drop Off & Pick up
Families - Please do NOT drop off your students on the streets. This is dangerous on
multiple fronts for your child and those driving around you. We don’t want anyone being
injured. Please do your part and go through the carline.
Thank you to those of you who are safely dropping off and picking up your students. We are
thankful for you watching out for ALL students.
Our number one priority is the safety of our students/your child(ren)!
Also, please DO NOT park in local business parking lots. Thank you.
We allow students in the building beginning at 7:20 each morning and classes start
at 7:50 Monday - Thursday and at 8:20 on Friday’s.
Thank you for making KHS as safe as possible for ALL students.
Ignite Info - All students received their Chromebooks on the first day of school or when
even more about IGNITE here.
Phone calls regarding D’s/F’s
If your student is receiving a D and/or F in any of their classes you will be receiving a phone
call encouraging you to go to eSchool Home Access to check your child's grades. I would
also recommend you connect with the teachers and counselors to find out how we can
partner to ensure your student has success in ALL classes.
PTSA - We currently have 8 business and 99 individual members. We’d love to have you
As a reminder we do offer a PTSA scholarship to graduating seniors. The total dollar amount
available depends on our memberships and donations. Please note the student must also be
a member of PTSA as well.
Thank you to everyone who has joined to date.

As part of the IGNiTE teaching and learning initiative, the school district partnered
with BrightBytes, an educational research and analytics organization that will help us learn
more about our schools’ technology use for student learning. The survey should take
approximately 10 minutes to complete and will be open through October 19.
Please select parent and then type in Kickapoo.
