* Cell phone & Electronic Device Reminder -
NO Electronic Devices per Senate Bill 68 - To minimize distractions, enhance student engagement and comply with new state law outlined in Senate Bill 68, SPS students will not be permitted to use Personal Electronic Devices during the school day. Beginning during the 2025-2026 school year, Personal Electronic Devices MUST be turned off, stored in backpacks, and remain out of sight for the entirety of the school day.
What is defined as a Personal Device?
Cell phones, tablets, personal computers gaming devices, headphones/earbuds and any other electronic device (including watches) that can be used for communication, entertainment or accessing the internet.
How will the policy be enforced on your child’s campus?
Students who violate policy will be asked to turn in
their phone and/or other devices to the office. Additional discipline will be assigned as outlined in the Student Handbook: Inappropriate Cell Phone Usage. Students who refuse to turn in their device may face further disciplinary action. Continued violation of policy could result in loss of Personal Electronic Devices while on the school campus.
