Hello Kickapoo families,

Congratulations to the 55th graduating class from Kickapoo High School - Class of 2026! Once A Chief, Always A Chief and as always, Go Chiefs!

It is our final week of 25 - 26 school year as we head toward Final Exams on Friday, May 22nd. Friday is a full day of school (8:10 - 3:10).

My next communication will be sent out in early August. Have a great summer!

* 2026 - 2027 1st Day of School is Tuesday, August 25th.

* Student Attendance - Our yearly goal is 95%. Thank you to our students and families who made attendance a priority last week by being in class, on time, everyday!

* Wednesday Late Start - Once students arrive on campus they are NOT to leave school property. Any students leaving school are subject to school discipline.

* Chromebook & IT Information -

Grades 9-11

Students NOT returning to Kickapoo or SPS next year: If you will NOT be returning to SPS (seated or virtual) in the fall AND are not taking an Explore class this summer, you should return your device once all work and finals are completed.

Grades 9-11

Students in grades 9 through 11 should keep their Chromebooks for the summer. Students are expected to return with the same Chromebook in August. Failure to do so may result in a fine.

Hotspots

Students not taking an online Launch course must return their hotspot to the school library before May 22^nd.

* FREE Tutoring - Is available for ALL students from 3:25 - 4:25 p.m. in our library each day we are in session. 

* Grades - The most current grades can be viewed in Home Access Center at this link where you will login. Then follow this path - Click the Classes button at the top of the screen. Then click the Classwork tab for the current grades. Make sure you are on 4th quarter.

* Final Grades - will be available by mid-June and can be seen following the above path and clicking on Report Card tab instead of Classwork. 

* Last Day of school is Friday, May 22 and it is a full day of school - 8:10 a.m. - 3:10 p.m.

* Final Exams for 9th, 10th, & 11th graders will take place Friday, May 22.

We do NOT give early final exams.

* Students MUST have ID badges on them at all times during the school day.

* ID Badges - Need a new one? Ask your teacher to order you one OR go to the ID badge room before school or during your lunch to get one.
* ID Badges are required for ALL sporting events. No ID = NO admittance to the game.

* 2026 - 2027 ID Badges will be distributed on the 1st day of school.

* Kickapoo Alumni Tours - Once A Chief, Always A Chief!

Are you a graduate of Kickapoo? Come join other alumni from a variety of graduating classes over the years at our annual all classes reunion tour on Saturday, June 20th from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

* Reminders:

• Any students needing WiFi can request a Kajeet hotspot through our library.
• Kickapoo will open our doors at 7:40 a.m. and first block begins at 8:10 a.m. every day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday.
• Wednesday is late start for students so staff may participate in professional learning. Classes begin at 8:40 a.m. ALL BUSSES WILL RUN AT NORMAL TIMES.
• Classes end at 3:10 p.m. every day.
• All students should leave school/campus by 3:25 p.m. unless directly supervised by a teacher, coach, or sponsor.
• Students should take home Chromebooks every day and charge them each night.
• Deliveries to school - Parents/guardians may deliver food and other items to school. We ask that you label and leave them on the table. Please communicate with your student to let them know items have been dropped off for them as we do not contact them.
• NO FOOD or DRINK DELIVERIES FROM OUTSIDE VENDORS. Thank you!
• Dress code - Follow all dress code expectations. Cover ALL B's!
