It is Senior Week! We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2024 throughout the week and at Graduation Saturday evening!

* Seniors Chromebook Return - Seniors return your Chromebook, charger, and bag to the library once ALL final exams, projects, etc. have been completed.
* Class of 2024 Kickapoo Graduation will be Saturday, May 18th at 7 p.m. at Great Southern Bank Arena.
* Graduates need to arrive at Hammons Student Center for pictures and line up by 5:45 p.m.
* Senior Send Off - May 18th from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Kickapoo. Tickets are $5 and will be sold during lunch Monday, May 13 - Thursday, May 16th and Friday, May 17th after clap out. Must have a ticket to attend. Tickets will NOT be sold after 3:15 p.m. Friday.
* Senior Send Off Amazon Wishlist and Donation Information. Thank you for your support of the Class of 2024! You can still donate this week. Contact Dr. Hall. Thank you!
* Cap & Gown Orders - If you preordered and did not pick up yet they are in the main office. IF you have NOT ordered your cap & gown please go to the main office to do so ASAP.
* Senior Meeting - Important information for all seniors.
* Graduation Letter from SPS - In case you missed it this letter was sent to all families with seniors by SPS. Please read prior to graduation day for important information.

* SPS Final Exam Exemption Requirements -
Students are eligible for finals exemption by meeting the following criteria:
- 90% overall attendance (school-sponsored activities do not count as absences) per semester
- Received no ISS or OSS for the semester
- Passing the class with an 80% or greater prior to the final exam
- Exempt students may take the final to improve their grade in a class; in this case, the final grade cannot hurt the student’s overall grade
- Required to attend class during the final exam block and complete optional enrichment tasks provided
- Dual credit, AP, and Launch virtual classes are NOT eligible for final exemptions.
* Attendance - When should students not attend school? Check out this guidance from our school nurses.
* Last Day of School & Final Exams - Thursday, May 23rd IS a FULL day (8:10 a.m. - 3:10 p.m.)
* Chromebooks for current 9th - 11th graders - KEEP your Chromebooks over the summer.
If you are NOT returning to Springfield Public Schools (SPS) for 24-25 return your device, charger, and bag to the library before leaving for summer. If you move outside of SPS over the summer please return to the main office. Thank you.

* Students earn Credits EVERY 9 weeks. Please make sure you are monitoring grades via eSchool Home Access Center under the Classes Tab, then Classwork tab - login here.
* Grades in Canvas are NOT the official grades for students. Teachers do grade items in Canvas. However, all grades are transferred to eSchool and these are the official grades.
* FREE Tutoring for all Kickapoo students, seated or online, is available in our library from 3:25 - 4:25 any day we are in session.
* End of Course (EOC) Exams - Students in Algebra I/IB, select students in Alg. II, Biology, English II, and American Government will be taking their EOC exams on the following dates:
Algebra I/IB & select Alg. II students:
Monday, May 13 & Tuesday, May 14.
English II:
Monday, May 13 & Tuesday, May 14.
Biology:
Thursday, May 16.
American Government:
Thursday, May 16.

Are you curious if your student could benefit from Explore? Reach out to Mrs. Kim Harris, kharris@spsmail.org with general summer school questions. If questions have to do with course credits on your student’s transcript, please contact their counselor.
All high school courses offered in the summer are online classes. They offer 2 sessions: June 3rd - June 28th and July 8th – August 2nd and students can earn a maximum of 2 credits.

- Any students needing WiFi can request a Kajeet hotspot through our library.
- Kickapoo will open our doors at 7:40 a.m. & first block begins at 8:10 a.m. every day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday.
- Wednesday is late start for students so staff may participate in professional learning. Classes begin at 8:40 a.m. ALL BUSSES WILL RUN AT NORMAL TIMES.
- Classes end at 3:10 p.m. every day.
- All students should leave school/campus by 3:45 p.m. unless directly supervised by a teacher, coach, or sponsor.
- Students should take home Chromebooks every day & Charge them each night.
- Deliveries to school - Parents/guardians may deliver items to school for your student. We ask that you label and leave them on the table inside the office. Please communicate with your student to let them know items have been dropped off for them as we do not contact them.
- ID badges and dress code - ALL students must have an ID every day. Follow all dress code expectations. Cover ALL B's!
- Need a School ID? Request one from a teacher or go to the ID badge room before school, during lunch, or immediately after school.
