Kickapoo Families,
I hope each of you had a great weekend and a great week ahead.
I’d like to ask families to spread the word about this weekly communication. As of
now the only people receiving it are those we have a current & accurate email address
or anyone who may come across it via my personal Twitter account @DrPowersKHS or
Kickapoo Twitter @KickapooChiefs
Please note the information I share here is NOT all inclusive to what is happening at
Kickapoo High School. You will find much, much more on our new website which is now
and can be found in the left column.
Please remember this website is still a work in progress. I would recommend you take a
few minutes to navigate and explore the site to find many resources and answers to
your questions you may have about Kickapoo.
I would also encourage you to connect with us via social media as we share what’s going on
at KHS. Check us out on

Drop Off & Pick up
A few reminders and requests regarding drop off and pick up at KHS. Our number one
priority is our students/your child(ren)!
With this we need everyone to please do NOT drop off students in the middle of the street
(Jefferson and/or Primrose).
Also, please remind your students who drive to school they may NOT park in local business
parking lots. Students run the risk of having their car towed if they do so.
We allow students in the building beginning at 7:20 each morning and classes start at 7:50
Monday - Thursday and at 8:20 on Friday’s.
Thank you for making KHS as safe as possible for ALL students.
Ignite Info - All students received their Chromebooks on the first day of school or when they
more about IGNITE here.
Contact the main office at 523-8500 for details.
Progress Reports - Are now live and updated. You will need the eSchool Home Access
password in order to view.
Questions about grades? Our teachers are happy to assist.
School Picture day was Thursday, Sept. 6th. Didn’t order then? No fear you can still

from 3:30 - 7 p.m. Please contact teachers as soon as possible to schedule.
