Jan. 26, 2015 Family email update

Hello Cherokee Families,

I’m not sure if I will ever get used to the weather in the Ozarks. However, I am looking forward to the 60’s on Wednesday. I hope you all are able to enjoy it as well. We all know winter is still here and could rear its ugly head any day.

Here are a few updates and reminders for you:

1) Daily Announcement and website – Remember you can stay closely connected with these listed events and even more each day by visiting our website HERE. Our Daily Announcements are updated Monday – Friday.

2) 6th Annual Blood Drive TODAY! – It’s not too late to help save a life. No appointment necessary and it is open to the public from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Just 1 hour of your time, approximately 15 minutes to donate, and your donation can save up to three lives! Thank you for your consideration.

3) Progress reports – are coming home today, Jan. 26th, for the first three weeks of 3rd quarter/2nd semester. Please sign and return as soon as possible. Questions or concerns? Please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teachers.

4) Car line – Thanks to everyone who pulls forward to the #1 sign! It is amazing how quickly the line moves when everyone does pull forward.
Again, we need all cars to pull as far forward as possible in the morning and afternoon.

5) Also, you can follow us on Twitter by searching for @CherokeeSPS or you can receive text messages via Remind by sending a text to 81010 with the message @principalp

C.   ELL information has been added to the flipbook catalog.
D.   The webpage now has a  “special services” section which includes information about ELL.
8) Yearbooks go on sale Feb. 1 and will be on sale until March 31st. Check our website for more information.
