MAP Update

Cherokee families,

Today was to be our first day of MAP testing. However, we had several technical issues at multiple SPS sites. DESE and SPS are working to determine what caused the issues.
Due to these unforeseen circumstances we did NOT complete the reading MAP test today. A few students did complete session 1, but the majority of our students were unable to login and begin.

At this time we plan to follow the MAP schedule as I have previously shared and can been found here:

Thursday, April 21 - 8th grade Writing
Friday, April 22 - 6th, 7th, & 8th Math & Algebra I EOC
Monday, April 25 - 8th grade Science

One change we have made at this time is our 6th and 7th graders will take the Reading test on Thursday. Both 6th and 7th grade will follow their normal bell schedule on Thursday and they will both begin testing during their scheduled 4th period class and continue through period 5 -7 until all students have completed testing.

The 8th grade reading test date has not been rescheduled at this time. I will communicate this with you as soon as we have determined a new date.

IF any of this should change again I will be in communication.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you and as always #GoIndians

Bill
