Artworks - The Artworks program is so much fun
they don’t know they’re learning!
Artworks is designed to foster an
appreciation of art for students entering grades 3-8 for the 2015-2016 school
year. Artwork introduces students to a variety of materials and artistic
concepts to evoke their curiosity and to hone their natural creativity.
Students work with professional artists who teach students in a fun, relaxed
environment where they can express their creativity and gain self-confidence.
Enroll at the Summer School office
located in the Kraft Administrative Center, 1359 E. St. Louis St. beginning at
9 a.m. on March 2. The $30 supply fee is due at the time of
registration. Students receiving free/reduced lunch during the regular
school year can apply for a fee waiver.
There are two Artwork sessions.
The first is June 15-26 and the second is July 6-17. A morning section,
8:30 – 10 a.m., and an afternoon section, 12:30 – 2 p.m. is offered during each
session. Students may attend both sessions but only one section in each
session. Artwork classes will be held at Bingham Elementary, 2126 E.

Design and Modeling Engineers
Description: Our
Design and Modeling classroom learns the specifics of 2-dimensional and
3-dimensional designs. Students use their learned knowledge to take
2-dimensional designs and create them in 3D using computer software. This class
would like to take the next step in the design process by taking the 3D
computer-generated design and constructing a 3D physical model utilizing the 3D
pen. The 3D Pen is an engaging educational tool that allows the user to create
real 3-dimensional objects; a pen that puts the power of a 3D printer in the
palm of each student.
Thank
you to the generous donors thus far!
