* National Seat Belt DayOn Monday, Nov.14th, to coincide with National Seat Belt Day we will have multiple events going on throughout the day to educate and promote safe driving habits for our students.  We will have the “Chief Challenge” safe driving contracts for students to fill out before school and during lunch in the commons.  These contracts will be a pledge to practice safe driving habits and when they fill them out they will have a chance to win prizes from area businesses who have donated.  After school we will have candy to be handed out to students who are observed wearing their seat belts and not using their phones.  During first and second block we will have a mock crash/docudrama outside.  We will have student actors, police officers with a patrol car, fireman with a fire truck, EMS with an ambulance, a hearse, and crashed cars.  Kickapoo students will be playing the roles of victims involved in a crash.  First and Second block teachers have the opportunity to take their classes outside to see.

This will have the entrances on the Jefferson Avenue side of our building closed from 8 a.m. - Noon.

Thanks to Kickapoo's Officer Goss for putting this together for our students and thanks to all of the local business for their donations.  Also, a big thank you to all of the first responders who are helping and for what they do everyday in our community.
